Planning a trip to Sapporo in Hokkaido and wondering where to stay with kids?

In this article, I’ll round up some of the best hotels in the city to help you save time. These accommodations are all in excellent, walkable locations in Sapporo and provide amenities for kids to help make your trip as easy as possible.

Note that hotels in Sapporo will likely sell out quickly for the Sapporo Snow Festival, which will be held from February 4th to 11th, 2025. So if you want to visit Sapporo during that time, make sure to book as soon as possible!

The Best Hotels to Stay in Sapporo

La’gent Stay Sapporo Odori

La'gent Stay Sapporo Odori

Right on Odori Street, the main street in central Sapporo, this 4-star hotel is in a perfect location and very reasonably priced for what you get.

The hotel boasts small public baths, which are great for soaking in after a long day exploring the city. For an additional charge, you can get a buffet breakfast — however, the hotel is attached to a Family Mart so we just got our breakfast from there!

Although they don’t have anything particularly special for kids, my family stayed here with our five-year-old and had no problems. Our daughter also got small pajamas that fit her perfectly! Unfortunately, they didn’t have a children’s toothbrush but she did fine with an adult-sized one.
