What is it like to stay at Tokyo Disney’s newest hotel, Fantasy Springs?
In this article, I’ll share my family’s experience and share lots of photos so you can decide whether it’s worth your yen.
The Fantasy Springs Hotel is the newest hotel at Tokyo Disney, specifically Tokyo DisneySea, which opened in June 2024.
It’s absolutely stunning and one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at (but I don’t stay at very fancy hotels so perhaps others might feel differently).

Why Stay at the Fantasy Springs Hotel?
There are numerous reasons to stay at the Fantasy Springs Hotel but one of the best is that this is the only hotel with its very own entrance to the brand-new Fantasy Springs area at Tokyo Disney! This entrance is only available to guests staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel.
To me, this absolutely makes it worth staying at the hotel since the main entrance to Tokyo DisneySea is about a 30-minute walk from the Fantasy Springs area. (Even longer if you have small kids!)
I’ll share more about this special entrance later.
Fantasy Springs Hotel Rooms and Price
Rooms at the Fantasy Springs hotel are more Frozen or Tangled-themed with elements of other Disney movies throughout. These rooms are in different buildings.
The more Frozen-themed rooms are in the Grand Chateau and the Tangled rooms are in the Fantasy Chateau.
Grand Chateau Rooms
The rooms in the Grand Chateau are more expensive than the Fantasy Chateau since they’re considered more luxurious rooms.
All rooms here offer a view of Fantasy Springs and have balconies. The rooms are also almost twice as large, ranging from 70 to 100 square meters in size. Guests staying at Grand Chateau also have access to a French restaurant called La Libellule, Priority Access to certain rides at Tokyo DisneySea and Tokyo Disneyland, and can get advance bookings for shows at both Disney parks!
Of course, all these great things come at a price. You can expect to spend at least 310,000 yen for one room. The price is per room and can fit a maximum of three to four people, depending on the room, so the more people who stay, the cheaper it is per person.
When it comes to decor in the rooms, you’ll find that the bed looks very much like Elsa’s dress when she became Queen. There are also elements of Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast throughout.
Fantasy Chateau Rooms
The Fantasy Chateau rooms are smaller than the Grand Chateau’s and range in size from 41 square meters to 50 square meters.
Ranging from 60,000 yen to 100,000 yen for one night, depending on the season, the room doesn’t come with the same benefits as the Grand Chateau. However, you will have access to Happy Entry, which allows you to enter DisneySea or Tokyo Disneyland 15 minutes before the official opening time.
You also get to use the special Fantasy Springs entrance and are able to eat at the Fantasy Springs Hotel restaurant (usually you need to make a reservation beforehand to get a seat).
The rooms can fit between three to five people, depending on the room. Rooms that fit five people are very few, so keep this in mind when making a reservation. Not many of the rooms offer a few of Fantasy Springs, either.
Here are the locations of the rooms and what you can see from them:
Bay Area: Parking lot and other hotels.
Hotel Entrance: Entrance of the Fantasy Springs hotel and main road
Rose Court: Garden with beautiful stone water fountains featuring Beauty and the Beast characters. There are some Park View rooms as well that allow you to see Fantasy Springs.
Springs Side: You can see Fantasy Springs; however, keep in mind there are some Partial View rooms where walls or roofs might obstruct your view.
We stayed in one of the Fantasy Chateau rooms so in this review, I’ll share what it was like.
Note that ALL rooms at the Fantasy Springs Hotel are non-smoking.
How to Get a Reservation for the Fantasy Springs Hotel
It can be tricky to get a reservation for the Fantasy Springs. The easiest way is to get a Tokyo Disney Resort Vacation Package, which includes park tickets and a stay at a Disney hotel of your choice.
You can also try to get a reservation using the Tokyo Disney official website. The quickest way to do this is to go straight to the “Reservations & Tickets” page on the homepage.
Reservations can be a pain in the butt to get through the website sometimes if lots of people are accessing it. Sometimes you have to wait several minutes to access the website and if you’re unlucky, you’ll also see what I call “the screen of death”, as shown below.
You can book a spot at the hotel up to four months in advance and start at 11 AM. Note that the more affordable rooms are snapped up very quickly.
If you live in Japan, you can enter a lottery via Rakuten Travel, Jalan, or JTB. This is how I was able to stay at the hotel with my family.
Tokyo Disney’s Fantasy Springs Hotel Review
I’ve never stayed at a Disney Hotel before but I have stayed at my share of five-star hotels around the world. We chose to stay in a Fantasy Chateau room because it was the most affordable and right now in my life, I just can’t justify spending 300,000 yen and up for one night in a hotel!
The Fantasy Springs Hotel is a five-minute walk from Bayside Station on the Tokyo Disney monorail. It’s also located right next to the special Fantasy Springs entrance to Tokyo DisneySea, which was very exciting to see since I knew I would get to use it the next day!
If you’re staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel, you can use this special entrance from the day you check-in if you purchase a pass for Tokyo DisneySea. Looking back, I wish I had done this and gone to Tokyo DisneySea twice but I was being a little cheap about it and figured I wanted to enjoy the hotel itself as much as possible since I would be at Tokyo DisneySea all day the following day.
The entrance of the Fantasy Springs Hotel, which is on the 3rd floor, was gorgeous. I’m very girly and love pastel and floral decor, so this was exactly up my alley.
We stayed at the end of November so there was some lovely Christmas decor as well, which made me happy.
You can also see the gorgeous Rapunzel-esque decor above the Grand Paradis Lounge, which is a must-visit spot on the second floor.
Near the entrance, there’s a beautiful nursing room where you can feed and change your child’s diaper as well if you need it.
There’s a hot water dispenser and a microwave, too.
Check-in is from 3 PM but I checked in at around 4 PM with my daughter (my husband, a Japanese salaryman, was working and would join us afterward) at the Fantasy Chateau Lounge. This is located just past the Bell Desk.
There were a few people waiting in line but it moved quite quickly. As expected, the staff were incredibly friendly and gifted my daughter with a sticker to celebrate her stay at the Fantasy Springs!
The card keys also came in a beautifully decorated envelope featuring Mickey and Minne standing in front of the hotel.
There’s an area across the front desk for kids to sit and watch Disney movies (they were playing Beauty and the Beast when we were there) so it’s a good place for kids to wait if there’s a long line to check in.
Behind this there’s a nice seating area where you can wait or just relax for a bit.
Note that if you want to buy tickets for the Disney parks, you can do so from the Bell Desk next to the entrance. Make sure to do this the day before you go to the park because you don’t want to waste precious time in the morning. You can purchase park tickets from the Bell Desk from 6 AM to 10 PM.
When you purchase park tickets, you’ll also be given a special pass that shows you’re a guest at the Fantasy Springs Hotel. Do not lose this pass because it’s what’ll get you Happy Entry access to the parks and allow you to get in and out of the special Fantasy Springs entrance. I’ll share what that looks like later on in the article.
Fantasy Springs Hotel Room
After we finished checking in, we headed to our room in the Fantasy Chateau building. It was a little bit of a walk away but my daughter and I loved seeing all the gorgeous decor, such as a lovely wisteria tree and peacock.
And the elevator with pale green and gold coloring and floral motifs was absolutely stunning!
The purple and green floral designs on the hallway carpet were so lovely and I adored all the large pictures of Disney Princesses such as Aurora, Tiana, and Snow White decorating the walls.
Although Fantasy Chateau rooms are smaller than the ones in the Grand Chateau, I found it was quite spacious.
When you first enter, you’ll see a lovely blue wardrobe that’s decorated with art that looks like it was painted by Rapunzel herself.
Inside there’s a luggage rack, hangers, a shoe horn, an extra pillow, and slippers for the entire family!
Right next to the wardrobe, there’s a gorgeous vanity and a small fridge with four bottles of water. Above it, there’s a drawer containing teacups with saucers, glasses, tea, instant coffee, and coasters.
The bathroom is across from the vanity and wardrobe. It’s very spacious, with plenty of room to place things. I was happy to see a small stepstool as well, which was perfect for my five-year-old.
There were two racks for hand towels and plenty of amenities that you can use and take home, which included:
- Four cups
- Four toothbrushes
- Four body towels
- Four amenity kits
- Some herbal sheets for feet and legs
Since I live in Japan, I’m used to having my toilet in its own room, so I was happy that was the case with my room at the Fantasy Springs Hotel.
The bath and shower room was also absolutely gorgeous! I believe it features the crocodile Louis from Princess and the Frog.
I like the bath stool as well, which is great for sitting on when you want to bathe a young child. This is how I bathed my daughter when she was a baby and toddler. I would sit with her on my lap, clean her, and then pass her to my husband who would dry her before showering myself.
My daughter was absolutely in awe of how beautiful everything in the room looked and was especially excited when she saw the Rapunzel mural on the wall above the alcove.
The beds felt like they were right out of a Disney movie and I loved the little Pascal detail on one of them!
There’s a pull-out bed under one of the beds.
Under the alcove, there was an extra blanket and pillow.
Since I have a 5-year-old daughter, they provided her with cute pajamas and a children’s toothbrush.
We also got these awesome reusable Fantasy Springs bags, and I immediately put one to use.
Make sure to also check the small night table in between the beds because there are Fantasy Springs postcards inside!
Also, I loved their personalized phone. Sure, maybe not the cutest but something is better than nothing!
We stayed in a Rose Court room, meaning we could see the Beauty and the Beast stone fountain, although it was a little far away. I had no complaints, though! I could also see Big Thunder Mountain in the distance, which was nice.
(I asked the hotel staff if we could see the fireworks from the room or another spot in the hotel and they said no. The fireworks also ended up being canceled due to strong winds the night we stayed at the hotel so we couldn’t confirm this ourselves.)
The television had, of course, Disney channels. Note that there’s no room information booklet. Instead, you need to use the television to find Wi-Fi information, order extra amenities or baggage services, and obtain other information about the hotel.
Exploring the Inside of the Hotel
After we dropped off everything in our room, we decided to look around the hotel while we waited for my husband to arrive.
We took a look at the Beauty and the Beast Rose Court, which was absolutely stunning. I loved it so much and I took so many photos of my daughter with it.
Look at the water creating the glass case for the rose — such a great touch!
And the “tea” running from Mrs. Pots to Chip was cute, too.
We could also see Fantasy Springs from a balcony just outside the front desk, which was very exciting.
After this, we decided to have something to drink from the Grand Paradis Lounge on the 2nd floor. The decor was so lovely and I enjoyed having tea with my daughter in the relaxing atmosphere.
If you’re lucky, you can sit near the window for the best view of Fantasy Springs. I believe that many people sitting there had reservations, though.
At around 5 PM, the staff started putting beautiful lotus lanterns on the table and it was quite magical.
Keep in mind that the lounge doesn’t have much food, so you’ll have to look elsewhere for dinner.
There’s a LAWSON on the 3rd floor of the hotel, so after my husband arrived, we stopped by there to get breakfast for the next day. There are so many cute Disney-themed items there so it’s absolutely worth a visit.
There are also lots of useful products for babies and toddlers for sale here, including diapers (only pull-up, size L and Big).
You can find other daily products here like chargers, razors, toothbrushes, makeup remover, sunscreen, bandages, and more.
First Floor of the Fantasy Springs Hotel
You can enter Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs area from the first floor. There are two entrances/exits — one from the Fantasy Springs Restaurant that’ll bring you straight to Fantasy Springs and another next to the special Fantasy Springs-only entrance. You can only use the restaurant’s entrance if you have dined there.
Unfortunately, we were unable to dine at the Fantasy Springs Restaurant for dinner because we didn’t make a reservation early enough. (I highly suggest making a reservation before you arrive at the hotel, if possible, or checking in as soon as possible and trying then.) We did, however, make a reservation for dinner the next day.
We ended up leaving the hotel and going to another hotel nearby for dinner, but looking back, I think we should have just bought dinner from the LAWSON in the Fantasy Springs Hotel and enjoyed it in our room.
There’s a Laundry Room on the first floor as well as a machine to make Fantasy Spring Hotel exclusive medallions. Make sure not to miss it! Guest Parking is also on the first floor.
Staying the Night at the Fantasy Springs Hotel
When we got back to our room, we took turns enjoying a nice, warm bath. I loved the crocodile illustration in the bath and overall, the bath and shower felt luxurious. However, although the bathtub was the perfect size for me (a 152 cm shortie), I can see it being a bit small for taller people.
The shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were good quality and gentle on my sensitive skin.
The hairdryer was unfortunately disappointing when considering how expensive a night at the hotel was. I expected something of higher quality and this just didn’t cut it. It took way too long to dry my hair.
When it came to the bed, the mattress was comfortable but the pillow was rather hard. It would have been nice if they offered two different kinds of pillows like OMO5 Tokyo Gotanda by Hoshino Resorts, which we had stayed at the night before.
We also heard people in the halls, which was another disappointment because I have stayed at quiet hotels before in Japan, so they could have invested more money in making the rooms more soundproof.
Overall, we had a decent sleep and I didn’t wake up once, which was good because at some hotels, people are noisy until super late at night and then early in the morning. Thankfully, I didn’t experience that here. We did wake up early, though, to go to Tokyo DisneySea the next day.
Happy Entry from Fantasy Springs Hotel
One of the best reasons to stay at the Fantasy Springs Hotel is to take advantage of their Happy Entry using the special Fantasy Springs entrance that’s only for hotel guests.
On that particular day, Tokyo DisneySea was scheduled to officially open its gates at 9 AM. Now, Tokyo Disney tends to unofficially open about fifteen minutes before the official opening time, meaning it would be 8:45 AM.
With Happy Entry, guests staying at any of the Tokyo Disney Hotels could enter at 8:30 AM, which was written on the Happy Entry tickets, so we made sure to get to the Fantasy Springs entrance at 8 AM.
Before we could line up, we had to show our Tokyo DisneySea entry tickets to the staff as well as proof that we were staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel.
At this time, there were already people waiting but not too many. Shortly after we arrived, a bunch of other Fantasy Springs hotel guests showed up, so I think 8 AM was a good time to start waiting.
While we waited, we enjoyed the Disney donuts we got from the hotel LAWSON for breakfast. I also took a bunch of photos of my daughter with the FROZEN, Rapunzel, and Peter Pan posters at the entrance. The time passed by quite quickly!
We also saw Anna and Elsa on the other side, which made everyone very excited.
As expected, the gates opened right at 8:30 AM. And there was absolutely no one there other than hotel guests! It was an incredible experience and we got so many great photos with no one else in the background!
Unfortunately, there was already a huge line of hotel guests waiting to greet Anna and Elsa, so my daughter couldn’t make it in time to get a photo. She did get a high-five, though!
If you want to see Anna and Elsa right away, I suggest starting to wait to get into Tokyo DisneySea from the Fantasy Springs entrance from at least 7:45 AM, or even earlier.
Checking Out of the Fantasy Springs Hotel
Right after we had lunch at the Fantasy Springs Restaurant, my husband went to check out and drop off our bags at the Bell Desk.
My husband completed the check-out procedures using the television in the room and then dropped off the key at one of these boxes, which are located throughout the hotel.
Overall, checking out was super easy.
Was Tokyo Disney’s Fantasy Springs Hotel Worth It?
My daughter and I enjoyed staying at the Fantasy Springs Hotel because it was beautiful and made us feel like we were in a fairy tale.
But the biggest reason my family would stay there again is because of the Happy Entry alone. It’s absolutely worth it, especially if you haven’t been to Tokyo DisneySea’s Fantasy Springs area. You can beat the crowds and enjoy some quiet time there before everyone else shows up. It’s also a great location for small kids to easily go and have a nap before you check out or if you stay for two nights.
My husband is a pretty skeptical guy but even he said he would stay at the Fantasy Springs Hotel again just for that perk.
