If you’re a parent like me, you may be wondering what kind of kid-friendly food to look out for at Universal Studios Japan.

I’ve visited Universal Studios Japan with my daughter more times than I can count, so I thought I would share everything she’s eaten at the park. These are all kids’ meals that she’s been having since she was two years old. At the moment, she’s five years old.

Food My Kid Liked at Universal Studios Japan

Pizza from Louie’s NY Pizza

Louie's Pizza at USJ

This restaurant does not have kids’ sets, but the pizza slice, alongside fries and a drink, is more than enough for my daughter and me to share. The pizza here is also truly delicious!

I’ve also visited this restaurant with my friend and her daughter, and it was a hit with them as well.

This is a good option when you want something quick and don’t want to wait in a long line.

Kids’ Burger Meal at Kinopio’s Cafe (Super Nintendo World)

We’ve been to Kinopio’s Cafe several times over the years, and my daughter always gets this kids’ meal. She loves the Mario pick, which you can take home (but be careful, it has a sharp end), and of course, the meal is something she enjoys mostly.

This meal comes with fried shrimp, an omelet, a small burger, a potato croquette, and a pudding dessert. My daughter eats almost everything, but she doesn’t like the dessert (inside the Question Block) or the omelet. Her friend, though, always happily eats the pudding dessert for her.

Pokemon Kids’ Set (Studio Stars Restaurant)

This is a limited meal that’s only available during the Halloween season at Universal Studios Japan. Featuring a Pikachu steamed meat bun and a Gengar dessert, it’s unbelievably adorable and my daughter was so excited to get it.

It was a lot of food for her, though, so she only ate about half of it. I tried some, and in general, everything tasted good except for the pumpkin salad.

Note that this restaurant gets very busy during Pokémon collaborations, so I would advise you to visit with your kids at around 10:30 AM at the latest if you don’t want to wait 30 minutes or more in line to get in. I also saw it wasn’t very busy in the evening in October, but this is because zombies start showing up, so people with small kids tend to high-tail it out of there. (For more important information on visiting USJ with kids during the Halloween season, read this article.)

Drawing with Doraemon and His Friends Kids Meal (Studio Stars Restaurant)

This was a fun kids’ meal at Studio Stars Restaurant that’s currently available. It has a round corn dog, a small hamburger steak, potato salad, veggies, a Doraemon meat bun, and a tart that kids can decorate on their own. It also comes with orange juice.

My daughter surprisingly finished most of this meal on her own, although she had a little trouble using the chocolate pen to create a design on her tart.

Sliders at Finnegans Bar

My daughter loved these little burgers at Finnegan’s Bar. One was a hamburger and the other a fish burger.

Recently, they changed the menu so there’s no longer an option for two small burgers. Instead, there’s only one.

Snoopy’s Backlot Cafe

Snoopy pancakes at Universal Studios Japan

Located inside Universal Wonderland (a must-visit spot in USJ for kids), this cafe has lots of kid-friendly meals featuring Snoopy.

My daughter got this pancake set, which comes with fried chicken (underneath the pancake), a drink, and cookies. Basically, everything that makes kids happy.

I especially liked the package of cookies because we could take them with us and have them as a snack later on.

Keep in mind that this restaurant has outdoor seating only, so it can be quite hot in the summer.

Demon Slayer Collaboration Kids Lunch Set at SAIDO

This kids’ meal at SAIDO, featuring a collaboration with the popular anime Demon Slayer, was a huge hit with my daughter. She finished everything, which is quite impressive since she has a tiny tummy. The appearance certainly helped as well, with food decorated with Nezuko and Tanjiro’s famous clothing patterns, as well as Tanjiro’s earring.

This collaboration is unfortunately now over, but they might have another one in the future so keep your eyes peeled!

Monster Hunter Collaboration Restaurant

This kid’s meal had a little bit of everything, which my daughter loved (and so did I since I shared it with her!). There was a small shepherd’s pie, fried chicken, avocado salsa with a tortilla chip, a meat bun, and some roasted marshmallows. I just wish they gave us more chips!

The restaurant itself, originally The Lost World Restaurant in the Jurassic Park area, was wonderfully decorated, making us feel like we were in the Monster Hunter world.

Food My Kid Disliked at Universal Studios Japan

Triceratops Kids Burger Meal at the Discovery Restaurant (Jurassic Park)

The Discovery Restaurant is fun for kids because smack dab in the middle is a skeleton of a T Rex, just like at the end of the first Jurassic Park movie.

There are also illustrations of dinosaurs throughout.

The line moves pretty fast at this restaurant, which is great when you have a hungry kid, but it can be a challenge to find a table. I recommend snagging a table before ordering.

The kids’ meal, pictured on the left side, comes with a small burger, nuggets, fries, orange juice, and dinosaur cookies. It has a lot of variety, but my daughter did not like the bacon on the burger. She gagged on the thin sliver of skin on the bacon and then refused to eat it.

Demon Slayer Collaboration at Studio Stars Restaurant

Kimetsu no Yaiba Rengoku Kids meal at Universal Studios Japan

This kids’ set featured Rengoku and consisted of Japanese food like grilled onigiri, sukiyaki, and a croquette. Although my daughter has no problem with Japanese food, she wasn’t a fan of anything in this meal except for the croquette.

I think they could have done a better job with the sukiyaki by making the pieces smaller so young kids could eat it easily.

I’ll make sure to update this article every time my daughter tries something new.
